Nathan
Nathan is a Certified Public Accountant and is the Co-Founder and Partner of K12 Financial Partners, where he helps independent schools strengthen their financial operations and make more informed strategic decisions. With deep experience in school finance and business operations, Nathan works closely with school leaders to bring clarity, structure, and forward-looking financial insight to their organizations.
Prior to launching K12 Financial Partners, Nathan spent years supporting independent schools in finance and operational leadership roles. His work has included overseeing accounting operations, managing monthly financial close, developing budgets and forecasts, preparing for audits, and helping leadership teams and boards better understand the financial health of their schools.
Nathan is particularly passionate about helping small and mid-sized independent schools access high-quality financial leadership without the overhead of building large internal business offices. Through K12 Financial Partners, he partners with schools to modernize financial systems, improve reporting, and create sustainable financial models that support mission-driven education.
Nathan brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to every engagement, working collaboratively with school leaders to ensure financial decisions are aligned with each school’s mission, community, and long-term goals.
Nick
Nick is the Co-Founder and Partner of K12 Financial Partners, a fractional finance and accounting firm dedicated exclusively to independent schools. With more than two decades of experience in education, Nick has served in a wide range of leadership roles—from teacher to athletic director, admissions consultant, division head, and Head of School.
Nick’s career has taken him to independent schools on both coasts of the United States. Most recently, he supported multiple schools nationwide as a finance specialist, where he led monthly financial close, budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and operational finance strategy. His work has helped schools modernize their business offices, streamline financial systems, and provide clearer financial insights to leadership teams and boards.
As a former Head of School, Nick understands firsthand the pressures school leaders face—balancing mission, enrollment, staffing, and financial sustainability. That perspective is what led him to co-found K12 Financial Partners: to give small and mid-sized independent schools access to the same level of financial leadership and insight typically reserved for much larger institutions.
Nick brings a practical, mission-driven approach to school finance, helping leaders translate complex financial information into clear, strategic decisions that support the long-term health of their schools.
A Seattle native now living in the Bay Area, Nick remains deeply connected to the independent school community and is passionate about helping schools build strong financial foundations so they can focus on what matters most: educating students.
